Sandro Sinigaglia

ICF Integral Executive Coach | Qualified Mindfulness Instructor

As far as I can remember, I have always been interested in understanding the world around me, and more specifically what people are made of and why it is so difficult to change our wy of being when the situation calls for something different.

I studied in Belgium and I enjoyed life at university very much because it left me some time free for being a stand-up comedian at different venues.

In 1997, I got my first job at Clearstream, a Stock Exchange Clearing and Settlement Company in Luxembourg. I dealt with custody matters for 2 years, then got into Software Programming for 2 years, and I eventually worked as a Project Manager for another 2 years.

With the passing of time, I realised that I wanted another kind of life for me and my family. So in 2003, we all moved to the Venice region, Italy. I found a job in a company dealing with Mortorsports Data Acquisition Systems and I started dedicating myself to my passions aside: Studying Jazz Drumming, Buddhist Dharma and raising my kids in preserved nature.

In parallel, I started a 2-year program at the Buddhist Center in Padua with the aim of getting deeper into Buddhist teachings and their applications in my life, especially various types of meditations (Samatha and Vipassana). Few years later, I bumped into Mindfulness Meditation and Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program, which will have a significant impact later on my journey. My years in Italy were a time of joy and exploration, and I enjoyed every bit of it.

In 2011, we all came back to Belgium where I found a job at ING Bank where I was asked to work in Cybercrime, and more precisely to set up a new department in charge of preventing, detecting and recovering from Cyber attacks on the bank. New field, lots of learnings and soon I took the lead of the newly-created department as Head of Cybercrime. Simultaneously I was invited in the major international Cybersecurity conferences as a keynote speaker and became responsible for the Executive Master in Cybersecuirty at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.

During the same period of time, I got back to Mindfulness and started an MBSR instructor certification program which took me 2 years to successfully complete. And my first customer was the European Commission in Brussels who got interested in bringing meditation techniques to their employees as a way to handle stress in a healthier manner.

In 2018, I decided to further align my job and my purpose by signing in to an ICF accreditation to become an Executive Coach and start serving others with the resources and insights I had learned so far. I got enthusiastic about this new learning and I added a series of certifications which you can check out in my CV.

Today, I am a happy integral executive coach and Mindfulness Instructor. My personal purpose is to invite all of us to see beyond, humour.
